The North-Western American Eskimo Association is a dog club centered in the northern California area affiliated with the United Kennel Club (UKC) and the National American Eskimo Dog Association (NAEDA). Our purpose is to influence members who breed and/or show dogs to accept the standards recognized by the UKC, encourage breeding of better and finer purebred American Eskimo dogs; to conduct licensed and sanctioned shows and to encourage positive training and sportsmanship while exhibiting dogs, and to educate the public and promote responsible dog ownership of American Eskimo dogs. We also welcome individuals that do not choose to show and have a love for this wonderful breed.

The N-WAEA is a strong supporter of children and youth who wish to be involved in the showing of their dogs. At every show we host there is a junior showmanship competition with prizes for each child who participates in our shows.
